Based around a studio project "Design Funny" in which a wooden assemblage was produced, a print publication, digital publication and a video were created as a means to document the processes and experience handling the medium of wood.
The very quality of humour present in the project brief was carried over even in the copy, thereby providing opportunities to experiment and play with typesetting.
The video documentation features Enka music — fit for a Japanese sumo-giraffe and the vigor that comes with sawing and building. With the help of a few friends and a handy fisheye lens, a variety of filming angles and effects were achieved.
