Sculptures of the Streets and Alleys
2022
This project details the observations I made in the humble spaces of Singapore’s streets and alleys, and their idiosyncratic objects. Though many of these objects are often deemed to be of low aesthetic value, they carry a sense of weight and prominence, similar to sculptures and monuments. This series of images aims to make an individual more aware of the relationship between an object and its space.
This work made an appearance at the Bangkok Art Book Fair in November 2022 and the Cut Copy Paste Fair in January 2023. The publication was also displayed at Page Break, SAM Residencies (part of the Singapore Biennale 2022).
