The Silent Protest is an alternate space to make the voices of the oppressed heard. Several countries exercise strict laws that prohibits protests and public demonstrations, making it difficult for people to advocate for change. Through out-of-home posters that lead to a microsite, we provide a safe and anonymous space for individuals to express their dissent without revealing their identity. Furthermore, our campaign shifts the protests from the digital environment to an augmented reality via Google Street View, simulating a protest happening in real time.

Protest in the alternative world

Our compaign shifts protests from a digital environment to an augmented reality. Bolstered by Google's Street View technology, this space allows the protest to be held in a specific location, simulating a public protest happening in real time.

When users post a statement or comment, our website generates virtual protest signs which can then be pinned onto areas of political significance such as parliament buildings.
